Judge Orders KRRC to Stop Shooting

KRRC Logo 2015

Kitsap Superior Court Judge, Jay B. Roof, has decided in favor of the Kitsap County Commissioners and against our friends the Kitsap Rifle & Revolver Club (KRRC) in the 04/24/2015 conclusion of a court hearing.  Shooting activities have been ordered to cease until an operational permit is obtained as required in the recent Kitsap County ordinance.  This permit contains many burdensome and expensive requirements that attack private property and gun rights.

KRRC had this to say on Facebook shortly after the court announcement:

KRRC Update 042415

Newly-elected Prosecutor Tina Robinson filed the court action to comply with county law.  Respectfully write to your county commissioners and demand that they cease attacking KRRC and change the county code to release KRRC from the multi-decade vendetta against them.

  • District 1: Robert Gelder ……….. rgelder@co.kitsap.wa.us
  • District 2: Charlotte Garrido ….. cgarrido@co.kitsap.wa.us
  • District 3: Ed Wolfe ………………. ewolfe@co.kitsap.wa.us

Steven Gardiner, in his Kitsap Sun article, quoted KRRC Executive Officer Marcus Carter as saying, “We’re disappointed, obviously, but this is by far not the end.”  Further, the Kitsap Sun reports Attorney Bruce Danielson as saying that “the county was abusing its police power in requiring the permit and wondered what grandfathered rights the gun club has if it is required to apply for an operating permit.”

Keep the pressure on the county government to protect your rights … sacred, God-given rights.  Ensure the county commissioners know you’re watching them and you will actively pursue their removal from office next election cycle via the ballot box if they continue this behavior.

Let us know what you think about Judge Roof’s ruling, the vendetta adopted by the County Commissioners, and Prosecutor Tina Robinson’s decision to proceed with taking action.

Tax Day 2015

Today and in the previous weeks, thousands of Americans have endured the painful stress and intimidation of finalizing their taxes in our complicated tax system.  The Kitsap Patriots Tea Party remains steadfast in our support of a simplified, fair tax policy more conducive to a free people and that permits liberation of an economy ready to thrive.  The tea party movement has answers: a flat tax or FairTax.

Tax Day 2015

The United States of America has not always had an income tax.  Before passage of the 16th Amendment during the Progressive Era, we only had a momentary income tax to pay Civil War expenses (see history of tax rates from the Tax Foundation).  The income tax was promptly removed and was eventually declared unconstitutional in the 1895 Supreme Court decision “Pollock v. Farmers’ Loan and Trust Co“.  With a firm scriptural understanding, early Americans rejected the income tax on Biblical grounds.

The Kitsap Patriots Tea Party encourages our elected officials to move Washington and Kitsap County forward to our nation’s conservative foundations which promote individual liberty and economic vitality for a brighter future.  Decreasing the tax burden on individuals & businesses and ending a federal system which targets political opponents will advance the general welfare of all Americans.  Join our special project “Speak Without Fear” to encourage preachers at the pulpit to throw off the chains of the IRS and exercise their free speech to affect civil government and the culture.

For further study, the Heritage Foundation recently released a special publication with an in-depth discussion of tax reform principles for the 2016 elections: “A Tax Reform Primer for the 2016 Presidential Candidates” (04/07/2015) by Dubay & Burton.

The Unforgotten, Run to Tahoma 2015

You won’t want to miss one the most amazing experiences in western Washington … The Unforgotten, Run to Tahoma!  The cremains of fallen, unclaimed heroes are carried to their final resting place in a procession of motorcycles as far as the eye can see and with enough patriotism to warm the darkest of hearts.

Last year, we joined the Tacoma Narrows Tea Party and other organizations in filling overpasses along the route with patriots waving American flags.  This year, we will do the same.  The Kitsap Patriots Tea Party will be manning the Bethel-Burley Overpass.

Mother’s Day 2015: Support the Troops

KPTP Mothers Day 2015 PromoThe anti-nuke protestors are back at Naval Base Kitsap – Bangor for Mother’s Day weekend.  The group “Ground Zero” is known for unorthodox protests and demonstrations at Bangor.  On Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of this year, they held a mock funeral in front of our soldiers and their families as they drove through the Main Gate.  In the face of growing nuclear threats around the world (e.g. Iran and the associated flawed treaty), it is not time to disarm our capabilities.  Furthermore, this is not what our troops want to see on Mother’s Day!

As we did last year with great success and with great gratitude expressed by all passers-by, the Kitsap Patriots Tea Party invites all lovers of freedom and of our troops to join us at the Trigger Avenue Gate to give our heroes a warm greeting!  Bring your American flags and signs of appreciation.

The protestors state on their website that “the action at the Bangor gate will be at approximately 2:00 PM“.  We will be at the Trigger Avenue Gate to provide our troops an alternate, friendly entry/exit location.
