March 2015 Meeting

Mar 2015 Meeting

Our March 2015 meeting features Sharon Hanek, aka “Research Mom“.  Hanek, former candidate for Washington State Treasurer and skilled analyzer of education legislation, will present to us the history of government education.  She will take us from early America to the establishment of the Department of Education to recent history under “No Child Left Behind” and “Common Core”.

The education of our children crosses party lines.  Like both state political parties, the Kitsap Patriots Tea Party adopted a resolution opposing Common Core.  Analysis is currently underway by the 2015 Board of Directors to update our resolution.  Ask your school board members and state legislators to oppose Common Core.

Join us Monday, March 30, 2015 at 7:00pm at the Silverdale Beach Hotel to be thoroughly educated on the history of government education.  Take advantage of meet & greet time at 6:15pm in the hotel lounge and your opportunity to speak your mind during open-mic!
